The Big Mac Index, created by The Economist in 1986, compares the price of a McDonald's Big Mac around the world. Because the burger is made to nearly the same recipe in about 100 countries, price gaps reveal differences in exchange rates and the cost of living. The table below ranks 46 countries by 2026 Big Mac price and shows how far each currency sits from the US dollar.
